Filmmakers Statement
In the grand scheme of filmmaking experience I don't have a lot, but I do have a little. I have worked on set in a few movies and television shows as an extra. That gave me a good insight into the inner workings of what goes on day to day on a set and how everyone works together to get things accomplished. I have also written a short film, a feature film, and am currently working on a television show. I was taught screenplay writing by J.B. Tyson at Metropolitan Community College in Nebraska. In ten years, I hope to be in a position to where I can write, produce, and act in the stories I am working on today. I would like to also start my own production company where I can give up and coming writers and actors a chance to work in the film industry.
I was a prior U.S. Air Force aircraft mechanic. I worked on the E4-B
747 and Air Force One. I worked during the G.W. Bush administration. During my
time in the military I had the opportunity to travel to over 40 countries and 6
continents. I joined the military after the events of 9/11. I felt my talents
at the time would be better served by joining the Air Force. I was stationed
out in Omaha Nebraska which is quite the change for a kid from Raleigh NC. I didn’t
really like it at first, but it’s the kind of place that grows on you after a
while. Omaha is home to one of the top zoo’s in the world. It regularly tops
the list at number one. Omaha is also home to the College World Series. It’s
the kind of place where there is something for everyone.
